Man Charged After Child Rescued From Ipswich Fire

A 50 year old man has been charged with neglect after a child was rescued from a house fire in Ipswich.
Emergency services were called to Landseer Road at around 6pm on Tuesday (19 Aug).
On arrival, crews found a child had already been rescued from the property by neighbours.
Val Haynes, who is from Ramsey Close in the town, is charged with one count of neglecting a young person, causing unnecessary suffering and injury.
He has been released on police bail, to appear at Ipswich Magistrates' Court on 3rd September.
