Jimmy Somerville. Having had several lively pop dance hits in '84 and '85 with the band, Jimmy left for a rest after the pressures of new found fame took its toll. Within months he was back forming the Communards with his old friend Richard Coles and enjoyed a string of hits with their mixture of good old fashioned disco and more bluesy, acoustic, political and social comment songs, including a cover version of the soul classic "Don't Leave Me This Way".
