A woman has been left with serious leg injuries after a motorbike crash in a village in Rochford.

Police say she lost control of the back Honda CBR she had been riding along Brays Lane in Canewdon just before 6pm yesterday (Friday 27 June).

She has been airlifted to hospital in London where she remains in a stable condition.

Investigating Officer, Pc Matt Geldart, said: "There were no other vehicles involved in this collision so we do need to speak to those people who saw this motorcyclist riding along Brays Lane just before she crashed as they are the only people who can tell us what happened.

"The woman has sustained some nasty injuries and is recovering after surgery."

Anyone with information in connection with this crash is urged to contact investigating officers at Southend Roads Policing Unit on 101.
