A reward of up to £3,000 is being offered by the crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a corrosive liquid attack on a man in Witham.
A man in his 50s, suffered terrible burns to his hands and face when the liquid was thrown over him at around 10.45am on Friday 8th August as he collected his post from the communal area of a block of flats in Bramble Road.
The two men were seen wandering around looking at property numbers for around half an hour before the attack occurred, though it is believed that this attack was actually a case of mistaken identity.
The culprits had a blue Vauxhall Signum or hatchback-style vehicle but the registration is unknown.
Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £3,000 for information that is passed to the charity's anonymous 0800 555 111 number leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
