Essex Police want to speak to two men after a taxi driver's takings were stolen in Aveley.

The man in his 20s noticed his money bag was gone in Juliette Way around 3am Sunday 10 July.

When he asked for it back, a knife was produced and the robbers made off. The taxi driver wasn't hurt.

Investigating officer, Dc David Wilkinson, said: "We believe that the men in the CCTV may have come from the Romford, Barking or Dagenham area, so we really need people to look at this CCTV and see if they know who they are. If you do recognise them, please get in touch.”

One of the men is described as a black man, aged between 16-20 years old, wearing dark jeans, a dark jacket and a black hat. The other man is of a mixed race and was wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Dc David Wilkinson at the Thurrock CID target team on 0300 333 4444 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
