Chelmsford: Elderly Woman Burgled By Fake Police

Plice are releasing an efit image of a man suspected of committing a burglary in Chelmsford where he gained entry to a flat and claimed to be a police officer.

Just before 8.55pm on Monday, March 24, a man was challenged when he gained entry to a flat in Broomfield Road.

He claimed to be a police officer and when he had left the victim, a woman in her 80s, noticed her handbag was missing.

The suspect is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, wearing dark clothing and had a thin moustache.
