Chelmsford: Student Charged With Assaulting Girl

A student is due to appear in court in May after he was charged with assaulting a teenage Maldon girl in Chelmsford.

The 16-year-old girl was first assaulted on Noakes Avenue at 4pm on Wednesday, March 5. She was then assaulted on Thursday, March 27 at Great Baddow recreation ground shortly before 8am.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested at his Chelmsford home on Friday, March 28 and has now been charged with two counts of assault and one count of criminal damage relating to the same incident on March 5 and involved a mobile telephone.

The boy is currently on police bail prior to his appearance at Chelmsford Youth Court on Friday, May 9.
