Chelmsford: Tulisa In V Festival Probe

Essex Police are investigating claims that former X Factor judge and N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos assaulted a blogger at the V Festival in Chelmsford.

Celebrity writer Vas Morgan has claimed that the 25-year-old charged towards him in a "drunken and angry state'' in a backstage area at the event in Hylands Park on Sunday 18th August.

Contostavlos is said to deny the assault but Essex Police are investigating.

A force spokeswoman confirmed that officers received the allegation of an assault yesterday.

The attack is alleged to have taken place just after midnight. She added: "We are making further inquiries.''
