The Clacton Air Show gets underway

Now into it's 19th year, the Clacton Air Show starts today with thousands of people expected over the next 2 days.

Record crowds of around 140,000 turned out last year.

Organised by Tendring District Council, this year the likes of the world famous Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and as well as other spectacular craft.

The Twister duo, the Swift Glider and the Tucano will all be on show at the event having been missing from the line-up in 2009.

As well as the air displays, spectators can enjoy on-site catering, trade stands and entertainment at ground level stretching along the show site on Clacton's seafront.
