A man armed with a scaffold pole has robbed a shop in Clacton.
It happened at the Best One convenience store on the High Street at around 3pm yesterday (Tuesday 20 August).
He threatened staff before leaving with a three figure sum of cash.
he man was white and was wearing a thick black jacket, black jogging bottoms, a hat with ear flaps, sunglasses and a T-shirt tied over his face.
He was also carrying a hessian-style Bag for Life with a ladybird design on it.
Detectives said the man entered and left the shop from the general direction of Holland and it is thought he ran off along Holland Road and into Harold Road.
