Clacton: Officers Injured Trying To Stop Car

A man from Clacton has been charged in connection with an incident which left two police officers injured.
They suffered minor injuries while where trying to stop a car which then crashed into a petrol station on Old Road on Wednesday afternoon (26 March).
40-year-old Stephen MacLaren, of St Albans Road, has been charged with dangerous driving, obstructing police, possessing a Class A drug and two counts of common assault on police officers.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Colchester Magistrates? Court today (Friday 28 March).
A 37-year-old woman who was arrested at the scene has been bailed until 26 June pending further enquiries.
