Colchester: Elton John To Perform Gig

Legendary singer and songwriter Sir Elton John will be playing in Colchester.

The multi Grammy Award winner will perform for one night at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Sunday June 29th next year.

Colchester is one of just three UK concerts revealed today. The superstar will also play in Manchester and Nottingham.

The show will include classics as well as tracks from Sir Elton's new album The Diving Board.

It's the first time a major concert has been held at the stadium and up to 15,000 fans are expected to pack the venue.

Sir Elton said: "I’ve been all around the world and I truly enjoy playing my music for fans everywhere I can, but I do so look forward to coming back home to England, especially every summer when I get to perform in places I have never played before, like Colchester."
