Colchester: Man In Hospital After Attack

A man's been left with fractured ribs and needing stitches to the face after being attacked in Colchester.
The 31 year old was at the 'mound', the grass area at the bottom of Mersea Road, Colchester near St Botolphs roundabout, on the left hand side, when the attack happened at around between 9-9.30pm Wednesday night (May 1).
The next thing he remembers in waking up in Colchester Hospital.
He was treated for two fractured ribs and had several stitches to facial injuries.
Personal items in a black Reebok holdall are also missing.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at time and witnessed any incident or has any information.
