Cyclist Seriously Injured In Southend

A 36 year old cyclist has suffered a serious shoulder injury after she was knocked off her bike in Southend.
It happened on Harcourt Road yesterday afternoon at 4:30pm. A silver BMW struck the woman and then drove off, failing to stop.
The 36-year-old local woman was taken to Colchester General Hospital where she was treated for a severe shoulder injury. She's in a stable condition.
A short time later at three different locations in the Southend area, two men, aged 20 and 23 and a 14-year-old boy, all from the town, were arrested in connection with the collision. Officers from the Air Support Unit helped colleagues on the ground with the arrests. The three arrested individuals are continuing to be questioned by officers at Southend police station.
