Essex Cricket ground plans approved

After months of delays the Government's given planning permission to controversial plans to re-develop the Essex County cricket ground in Chelmsford.

The secretary of state says it'll benefit the town centre as well.

There were concerns about the work increasing the flood risk but the club say they've been addressed.

The Club and it's development partner MCD say they are closely studying the full transcript of the Inspector's report and the letter from the Secretary of State so that they can fully understand all the detailed aspects and conditions of the planning permission.
