Essex: Heart Nominated For Awards
The Heart Essex news team has been shortlisted in two categories of the prestigious EDF East of England Media awards.
Heart is the only commercial radio station to be nominated in this year's awards, where it will be up against BBC Essex, BBC Cambridgeshire and BBC Suffolk.
The EDF Energy Regional Media Awards, now in their eighth year, honour the best in journalism across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
Essex newspapers are well represented with both the Basildon Echo and Essex Chronicle each getting six shortlisted entries across three categories each.
Dan Pritchard, EDF Energy regional media manager, was on the judging panel, said, "There’s a real mix of exciting newcomers and established names from across the region who impressed the judges and are worthy contenders."
