Flooding In Thaxted

Fire crews have been called to 20 floods in Thaxted, since 3am.

Fire crews have been called to Thaxted after flash flooding hit the town.

The flooding has affected the B184 and numerous properties. A road has also collapsed from the heavy rainfall.

Firefighters have been called to 20 flooding incidents and have been pumping out water from properties since 03:00hrs.

At 07:30hrs two fire appliances remain in Thaxted and are continuing to pump water out of the affected areas.

Crews also reported cars were stranded in flood water on the B184.
