Four Charged Over Southend Death

Four men were charged with manslaughter yesterday (Wednesday November 9th) after a man died outside a Southend nightclub.

CCTV cameras caught the disturbance outside Churchills Bar on Tyler Avenue on Sunday June 9th.

Officers found 37-year-old Reece Lamude, from Hillview Road in Rayleigh, with serious head injuries. He was taken to Southend University Hospital where he died.

A post mortem examination result showed that he sustained neck injuries.

Four men were arrested at the scene and have now each been charged with one count of manslaughter.

A 42-year-old man from the Rayleigh area; two men from Southend, aged 38 and 32; and a 31-year-old man from the Southend area have been released on police bail prior to their appearances at Southend Magistrates Court on Wednesday November 23rd.
