Harwich: Man Charged Over Stabbing

A 22-year-old man is due at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today (Thursday May 10th) after having been charged with the attempted murder of another man in Harwich.

An attack happened when 20-year-old James Johnson was stabbed in the head following a fight on Mill Lane shortly before 2am on Sunday, May 6th. 

He was initially taken to Colchester General Hospital before being transferred to the Royal London Hospital where he remains in a critical, life-threatening condition.

Kyle Ogilvie, from Station Lane in Harwich, was arrested and has now been charged with one count of attempted murder. 

Two other men from the town, aged 23 and 34, had also been arrested in connection with the attack and were released on police bail pending further enquiries. However, they have now been released from their bail.
