Hockley: Man 'Critical' After Found Unconscious

An investigation is underway after a man has suffered serious head injuries in Hockley.
The 41-year-old, who is thought to be from Southend, was found unconscious in the Broad Walk area by a member of the public just before 8am on Saturday (1st February).
He was taken to Southend Hospital but was transferred to Queens Hospital in London where he remains in a critical condition.
36-year-old Glen Cooper, from Broad Walk in Hockley, has been charged with GBH and is due at Southend Magistrates Court this morning (Monday 3rd February).
