Essex police have released an image of a man they want to identify and speak to, after reports of racist abuse in Westcliff.
It is alleged a man leant out of the passenger window of a car driving along Mount Avenue at around 6.45pm on Friday, September 5. He then reportedly shouted racist abuse at the man as he walked along the road.
The victim, who is aged 37 and lives in the area, was left extremely distressed after the unprovoked attack.
The man police would like to speak to is described as white, in his early 20s, of slim build with short dark cropped hair with a widow’s peak.
He was wearing a blue polo shirt which had a stripe on the collar and was a passenger in the front of a silver Renault Clio.
