Lawford: Man Injured After Car Crashes Into Pub

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after his car crashed into a pub in north east Essex.

Emergency services were called to Wignall Street in Lawford at about 5.15am today (Wednesday 12 June 2013).

A man was later released from his car and has been taken to Ipswich Hospital.

A 26-year-old man was later stopped by police at Manningtree.

He has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and remains in custody.
