Man With Life Changing Injuries In Chemical Incident In Witham

A man's been left with potentially life changing injuries, thought to have been caused by a harmful liquid in Witham.

Police and six fire engines are on the scene on Bramble Road.

The area has been cordoned off, since just before 11am.

Officers say the man had injuries to his hands and face, and has been taken to hospital. They are not thought to be life threatening.

Police on the scene are investigating to establish the circumstances.

Forensic examinations are also being carried out, Police say they are making sure the public are not at risk.
