Lifeboat Rescue For Swim Girl
A 15-year-old girl taking part in a sea swim off the Essex coast has been treated in hospital after getting into difficulties and being rescued by a lifeboat crew.
Coastguards said the 15-year-old was picked up off Clacton on Sunday while taking part in Clacton Swimming Club's Round The Pier Swim, said a spokesman for Thames Coastguard.
A spokesman for Thames Coastguard said the girl was given oxygen before being taken to hospital suffering from shock.
