M11: Teen Dies After Hit By Lorry

A teenager has died after he was hit by a lorry on the M11 near Saffron Walden.

It happened southbound between junctions 8 and 9 just after 10pm yesterday.

The 18-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

A section of the carriageway was closed for approximately five hours while forensic collision investigators carried out their enquiries to determine the cause of the crash.
