Man Arrested Over James Attfield Murder

Detectives investigating the murder of James Attfield in Colchester have arrested a 19 year old man.
The suspect was arrested in Colchester on suspicion of murder and has been taken to Colchester Police Station for interview by detectives.
He is the 10th person arrested in connection with the investigation.
It has been almost six months since the 33 year old was found with 102 stab wounds in Castle Park. No one has been charged over his death.
Meanwhile four people being questioned by police in connection with his murder have had their bail extended by eight weeks whilst enquiries continue.
A 31-year-old man from Colchester arrested on August 7 has been bailed until Tuesday, November 18, while a 57-year-old man, a 27-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, also from Colchester, have been bailed until Wednesday, November 19.
Another five people have also been arrested and questioned in relation to the enquiry. They are an 18-year-old man of no fixed address, a 25-year-old woman from Southend and a 23-year-old woman from Ipswich. They have all been bailed pending further police enquiries until Wednesday, October 15. Two 33-year-old men of no fixed address will report back to police on Friday, October 17.

A 19 year old man arrested has now been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
