Man jailed for sex attack on a boat

A man's been sentenced jailed for what Essex Police describe as a 'horrendous' crime after he kidnapped and sexually assaulted a teenage girl in Clacton.

Daniel Bramman, who was living in the Jaywick area, but of no fixed address, will serve a minimum of seven years after he pleaded guilty to the kidnap, rape and abduction of a 17-year-old in Clacton on March 1.

The 36 year old will also go on the sex offenders' register for life.

Senior Investigating Officer John Quinton, who's now retired from Essex Police, said: “This was a horrendous crime and Bramman put his young teenage victim through a terrifying experience.

“I want to praise her for the way she coped with her ordeal. With the support of her family she was able to provide police with very good detail about locations, places and times and descriptions. This enabled detectives to identify Bramman and make a quick arrest."
