Man With Silver Gun Attacks Milkman

Detectives are investigating a robbery in Leigh where a milkman was assaulted by an armed man.

The incident happened at around half-past 3.30 yesterday morning in Willow Close.

The victim was in his milk van when a man in a crash helmet came running towards him and demanded that he had over money. The victim refused and he was hit on the head. The suspect ran then off.

The victim was not injured but was left shaken following the attack. The suspect is described as being around 5ft 8ins tall, was wearing a white jumper and a crash helmet with graffiti style writing on it. He was carrying a silver gun.
