Police are appealing for witnesses after a man came off his motorbike in Pitsea.
The 25 year old, from Rayleigh, was found at the junction of London Road and Rectory Road at 5.25am on Saturday (May 24).
He was taken by ambulance to Basildon Hospital and then taken to the Royal London Hospital with serious injuries.
His bike was a black Yamaha.
