Purfleet: Efit Released After Teen Assaulted

Essex police have released an efit of a man who sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in Purfleet.

The attack happened on Saturday April 21st when the teenager was walking her Jack Russell in woodland off Centurion Way. 

A man then approached her and assaulted her before running off.

Senior Investigating Officer, DCI Simon Werrett, said: "We have a tremendous amount of support from the Purfleet community so far, but we need them to go just that extra bit further and help us identify this man. The image is clear so we?re confident he is known."
The offender is described as white, speaks with a local accent, is aged approximately 30, is over 5ft 2ins tall and has chubby fingers. At the time, he was wearing a black hoodie."

DCI Werrett added: "We are aware of a few recent incidents on the housing estate whereby people have been chased by residents. We would rather people contact us with any concerns they have about individuals so that we can deal with the situation in a professional, considered manner."

Police are still trying to reunite a set of office key with its rightful owner. The wording on the green tag pictured states 'Roller Shutter / Workshop' while the number on the grey fob reads '244'.
