A teenager will appear in court today (Monday May 13th) charged with throwing acid at a woman on her doorstep.
The 28-year-old victim - who is called Tara but has asked for her surname not to be used - received horrific injuries to her face and upper body after acid was sprayed at her in Romford on April 30th.
Her pet dog - a long-haired chihuahua - also required treatment.
Scotland Yard said the 15-year-old boy was in custody and would appear at Barkingside Magistrates Court accused of throwing corrosive fluid on a person with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
The teenager was arrested on Friday night.
