Southend: Jewellers Window Smashed

A would-be thief has smashed the window of a Southend jewellers with a hammer.

He left empty handed though after quick thinking staff lowered the shutters.

At around 4.25pm  on February 20 a man wearing a dark coloured hooded jacket, jeans, white trainers with his face covered, targetted the front window of Andrews Jewellers on Southchurch Road.

Dc Sam Boyd who is investigating said: "I would like to appeal for information and for witnesses, in particular the driver of a red car seen outside the store at the time of the incident who may have seen the person responsible."
