Canvey: Man In Hospital After Being Attacked

A 33 year old man has been left injured after an unprovoked attack near Southend.

It happened in Canvey at around 3pm on Saturday April 26th.

The man was walking across a field leading from Church Parade to Waterside Farm Leisure Centre when three white men, aged between 20-25 years old, began to attack the man. They punched and kicked him leaving him with an ear injury and bad bruises over his body before they made off in the direction of Central Avenue, nothing was taken from him.

The men are described as slim to medium build and one of them was wearing an luminous yellow T-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms, another was wearing a light grey tracksuit, with a shaven head.

Dc Christian Forbes, who is investigating said: "This was a nasty assault which the victim was not able to report until he had been treated in hospital. If anyone has any knowledge or saw anything please contact me at Southend CID on 101 ext 470302."
