Southend: Toddler Injured In Dog Attack

A four-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after it's believed she was attacked by a dog in Southend.

Police were called to Eastern Esplanade near the Kursaal on Saturday morning (January 5th) where they found the toddler with injuries to her face.

The girl, from Southend, was taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford for treatment.

Officers are investigating the incident and are working with the owner of the dog, a Labrador.

Police are asking any witnesses to the incident or moments before to contact them at Southend police station on 101 where the investigating officer is PC Daniel Hedges.
