Teenager Arrested In Connection With Witham Chemical Attack

A teenager has been arrested in connection with a chemical attack in Witham.

Police arrested a 19-year-old man from Witham, yesterday evening, on suspicion of assault.

The arrest is in connection with an investigation into a chemical liquid attack on a man in Bramble Road in the town.

The 56 year old was left with potentially life changing injuries to his hands and face on Friday morning.

Officers believe he may not have been the intended target.

The man has been taken to Colchester Police Station where he is currently being interviewed by detectives.
