There are concerns for the future of plans to improve Junction 29 of the M5.
The £12 million transport project for Exeter is in the balance, as we wait to hear where the axe will fall as the Government attempts to cut the country's debt.
Stuart Hughes is in charge of Devon's roads: "we don't know at this moment whether we are going to recieve the funding but I sincerely hope for the local economy that that is something that isn't cut."
He continued: "I understand that money has got to be saved but I do hope the coalition government will see the benefits of doing those improvements at Junction 29."
