Hundreds More Jobs Go At Connaught

Hundreds more jobs have been cut at collapsed Devon firm Connaught.

Administrators KPMG have announced another 400 staff will go from the workforce, taking the total number of redundancies to 1,100, out of a total of 10,000 employees nationwide.

It's not clear yet exactly where in the country those losses will come yet.

KPMG have also added though that up to 600 employees could be taken back on, as a Gloucester based rival firm's bought up eight of Connaught's housing contracts.

Exeter-based social-housing giant Connaught went into administration last week, with reported debts of around £200m.
