Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Lucy Horobin 6:30am - 10am
Every child reported missing in Devon & Cornwall over the last year has been found safe & well, but Police've told Heart they're still very concerned about the experiences these kids go through whilst they're away from home.
Freedom of Information figures show 2,279 children were reported missing here in the last financial year (April '09 - March '10), although some of those also went missing repeatedly.
Our police say although all of these cases ended with the children being found physically safe & well, that doesn't mean everything turns out fine, as a number of kids're abused by people whilst they're away from home, often involving drink or drugs, or the children themselves end up taking big risks with their own safety.
