Burford: Woman Dies In Car Crash

A woman died in a collision on the A40 between Northleach and Burford this morning.

The incident involved a silver Suzuki Swift and a blue Ford Fiesta and happened at about 6.50am today (Tuesday January 14) near to a disused building that was formerly the Windrush cafe.

A 57-year-old woman from Gloucester who was in the Suzuki sadly died at the scene.

A man in the blue Ford Fiesta suffered minor injuries.

A road closure remains in place while a collision investigation takes place. 

Anyone who witnessed the collision but has not spoken to police should call 101, quoting incident 46 of January 14.
