Stroud: Boys Injured In Collision

Two children have been seriously injured in a collision in Stroud.

A grey Nissan Qashqai collided with a white Ford Transit van at the junction of Middle Hill and Burcombe Road in Chalford just before 4.55pm on Thursday. 

A 7-year-old boy and 3-year-old boy, both from Stroud and both passengers in the Nissan, were taken to Bristol Children's Hospital. 

The 7-year-old boy had suffered a serious head injury and the 3-year-old boy a serious leg injury. 

No one else was seriously injured. 

Anyone who witnessed the crash but hasn't spoken to police is urged to call 101, quoting incident 440 of May 22.
