A free collection service for flood-damaged goods is being offered by Tewkesbury Borough Council.
The borough council has been working alongside all its emergency response partners to support communities affected by the recent flooding.
The free collection service will apply to household items that have been damaged as a result of flooding.
Residents who would like to request a collection should phone 01684 295010, and an officer will visit and assist in arranging the collection.
Tewkesbury Borough Council’s Lead Member for Clean and Green Environment Cllr Jim Mason said: “We want to make sure that our residents affected by flooding are supported as much as possible throughout this difficult time. If you live in a flood-affected property and have items that have been damaged by flooding and you wish to dispose of them, please do get in touch with us at the council.”
Alongside the free collection service, the council has been working hard to ensure its communities have access to welfare support. Alongside visits and daily calls to flood wardens and flood affected areas, it has issued approximately 10,000 sandbags to help protect vulnerable properties.
For flood and welfare support, the council can be contacted on 01684 295010.
