Man dies in crash

A man has died following a crash between a lorry and van on the A417.

It happened at around 10.45pm on Monday between Staunton and Ledbury, near to the junction with the M50.
 
Police say the collision was between  a white Scania lorry and a red Mercedes van.

The driver of the Mercedes van, a man from Worcester, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. The coroner has been informed.
 
Paramedics took the driver and passenger of the Scania lorry to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries.
 
The two men, a 53-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, both from Spain were then arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They are currently being questioned by police.
