Petrol stations in Newent have teamed up to catch fuel thieves.
They have launched a groundbreaking Garage Watch scheme, so any drivers who make off without paying will find their cars blacklisted at neighbouring garages.
The scheme was the idea of PC Brian Howard from Gloucestershire Police, after a spate of thefts in the area.

Four petrol stations in the Newent area are part of the scheme, Meridian Service Station in Gloucester Road, Highleadon Filling Station, in Highleadon, General Garage in Huntley, and Cross Hands Garage in Corse.
