Police in Cheltenham have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to in connection with an assault on a bouncer at a night club.

The incident happened at around 1.20am on Sunday February 21 at the Prom Vaults night club on the Promenade.

The 41-year-old victim had approached a group of men warning them about their rowdy behaviour. As he attempted to eject one of the men from the club he was assaulted by another member of the group who threw a pint glass at him.

Detective Constable Pete Rowsell said;

“This incident is being thoroughly investigated and a number of enquiries are continuing but we are now turning to the public for their help identifying those involved.

“We’d like you to have a look at the footage…do you recognise the man? Were you in the club on Sunday February 21 and did you witness the incident? It’s thought that the man involved may have travelled with a group from Birmingham to Cheltenham for the evening.
