Security van raid

A large amount of money has been stolen in an armed robbery in Stroud.

Two offenders threatened security officers  with a sharp implement, thought to be either a knife or a screwdriver, as they were delivering money to a Bank in Kendrick Street at around 10pm on Monday night.

The offenders were dressed in black and wearing balaclavas. They left the area in a black or dark coloured vehicle, believed to be a BMW possibly a 4 x 4 with tinted windows.
 
Officers investigating the robbery are eager to hear from anyone who saw a vehicle matching this description acting suspiciously in the area either yesterday evening or over the previous few days.

No one was injured in the incident.
