Teenager dies in crash

Police want to hear from drivers who may have seen a crash on Sunday night that led to the death of a teenager.

It happened at around 8.55pm on the A46 Painswick Road in Brockworth when a silver Peugeot 206 travelling from Brockworth towards Stroud left the road and collided with a tree.

The driver of the car and his passenger, both 18-year-old men from Stroud, were taken to Cheltenham General Hospital.

The driver passed away in the early hours of this morning, Monday January 17. His family have been informed.

The road was closed for around five hours whilst police, fire and ambulance crews worked at the scene.
