Police investigating the disappearance of a man from Tewkesbury say it is ''out of character'' and they have serious concerns.

Officers say 49-year-old Trevor Groom (pictured here back in the 1980s) was reported missing by his family on Tuesday, September 9th.

They say he had not been in touch for the past six to eight weeks.

Police say Trevor has also not withdrawn any money from his bank account since the end of June.

He is said to have links to the Bredon Hill, Bredon and Ledbury areas and might be with a red mountain bike.

Trevor is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, slim, with short grey hair and glasses.

He is said to normally wear jeans and a t-shirt.

Anyone who sees Trevor or has any information is asked to call 101, or 999 if appropriate, straight away, quoting incident 166 of September 9th.
