Gloucester: Woman Stabbed At Mental Health Hospital

A woman working at an NHS mental health hospital in Gloucester has died after being stabbed on duty.

The woman, who hasn't been named, was working at the inpatient unit of Wotton Lawn Hospital when she was attacked at around 7.30am yesterday morning. 

She was taken to the Gloucestershire Royal hospital but died an hour later. 

Gloucestershire Police have confirmed a man in his 60's has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody 

The Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt says the news is devastating and his thoughts are with the woman's family, friends and colleagues.
