Four Rescued From Two Seperate Fires In Essex

Essex Firefighters have had a busy night, saving four people from two different fires, one in Harlow and another in Rayleigh.

In the early hours of this morning a fire broke out at a flat in Harlow.

Firefighters rescued a man and woman, who were unconscious, from the house in Rectory Wood. 

Crews say the fire started in the kitchen on the hob. 

The pair were treated by the ambulance.

Before that incident, crews rescued two people from a fire in sheltered housing in Rayleigh.

The blaze broke out just before midnight in the library of the accommodation block on Tendring Avenue.

An 80-year old man' was been treated for breathing in smoke.
