Bomb Found In St Albans House

Road closures and homes evacuated in St Albans after a bomb was found in a house.
A bomb has been removed from a house in St Albans after being found in the loft.
Police were called to Beverley Gardens just for 10am on Saturday 11 January, to reports of a potentially explosive device in the loft of the house.
Bomb disposal teams removed the bomb at 1:40pm.
Bottles around the house suspected of containing hazardous chemicals were also disposed of.
It understood they were exploded in a nearby field.
Residents on the street were evacuated and road closures were put in place.
